Mechanism of Action Zenagamtide is a unimolecular peptide co‑agonist for GLP‑1 receptor and amylin (AMYR / calcitonin) receptor. One single peptide molecule triggers two complementary satiety‑regulating pathways:

  1. GLP‑1 pathway: glucose‑dependent insulin secretion, glucagon suppression, appetite reduction.
  2. Amylin pathway: additional satiety signaling, suppress post‑prandial glucagon, further reduce food intake. Different from CagriSema (combination of two separate peptides), Zenagamtide delivers fixed‑ratio dual‑receptor activation by one single molecule.
